You have already started if you are reading this. Hopefully you have a bunch of questions that we can answer for you. The next steps: *Note: This outline is for new commercial build clients, however residential clients follow a condensed version of this outline. We can also update existing play areas. 1.Email: Tony.m.mau@gmail.com I would say call first, but I may have my hands full of dirt or dust, so it’s best to reach out via email initially. I can dedicate my mind to you best and respond with the attention you deserve. 2.Schedule a call: This call will be our first real-time interaction and our goal will be to establish what you want and how I can serve you. 3.Scheduling a site visit: The location of the site is the foundation of any design, so it is best to do this first thing. We will address all the necessary, but boring parts of the playground; access, strategies for temporary play areas during construction, utilities and marking, demolition, drainage, shading, etc. I hope we can talk a little bit about design as well. 4.Initial contract: We build what we design to ensure the utmost quality and long-term efficiency, so we require payment to start the design process that will count towards your whole playground build. Our designs are a service not a product, and our intent is to create a design that serves you. This is a three-meeting process: i.Meeting one: Only the top decision makers. The kids are who we are serving, and the staff is crucial to a successful childcare operation. However, too much unguided input creates a people pleasing situation that works against the goal of a great limbic play space design. We will establish expectations and goals for the playground design. ii.Meeting two: The initial concept design that will be an overhead layout of your site. This will be a low detail site plan that designates the locations of pathways and the various designated activity areas for a well-rounded limbic development playground. This will be an informal meeting where the staff is prompted to comment with their perspectives on the design and its intent. Materials, colors, and aesthetics will be addressed as well. iii.Meeting three: The final design will be created with detailed drawings as well as an updated site plan. This will give you a better visual. 5.Final Contract: This signals the end of the design phase and begins the build phase. The full deposit will be issued, and the start date will be scheduled. Then we break ground and make the dream real!

To overcome this challenge without compromising your end product we implement: •Planned phased designs: oConventional phased strategies are not really phased at all. They basically offer you a product at a later date, which usually entails shutting down your playground and destroying a part of what you already paid for to charge you more for something new. oLR does not phase this way. We plan ahead for your additions by designing them in at the beginning. This way you don’t throw away money and minimize the overall impact on your facility’s operations. •Bundled Services: oConventional services are not bundled in an itemized proposal. To maximize output and quantity they outsource most elements to subcontractors, which multiplies all your expenses, and potential for change-orders. They will list out every element and their corresponding line items. They are then sub-totaled and then Totaled. At this point you are in shock and your only option is to compromise your product to stay within budget. Then, you find out that you are going to get charged a change order for evert hiccup that comes up. oLR decided that quality was going to be the goal and not quantity. You have one contractor (LR), which removes the multiplied expenses of subcontractors and potential for change-orders. If subcontractors become necessary for timing reasons, we will guide you through that transaction without charging an exuberant general contractor surcharge.
